How to Stop Pulling Your Arms Down
Thank you for this video, I swing about 1095 and the fitter told me I should be getting to 300 every time. I called BS on it but he insisted that it is a perfectly reasonable goal (maybe with 1500 spin...)
What’s your handicap Matt?
The D9 forged I bought for $900 are better looking in my opinion. And I'm from Canada
Great swing great review. Thanks
How do you number outside compare to your indoor numbers matt?
Thanks for the right handed numbers! I have been playing this ball very pleased with the performance! I am a mid handicap, 71 year old, one of the longer hitters in my club!
I played a round the other day where i used a prov1x, an avx, and a kirkland. The kirkland was a click below the prov1x, and above the avx. Tbh the only flaw i noticed (kirkland) was occasional longer than expected approach shots. My 60° lob is usually only good for about 75-80yds in my hands and i flew a green from the rough from about 80. Do what you want with that. When they hit the green they stopped well.
Hi Matt- great content. Is it possible to mix a set 241’s & 245’s or are the lofts, ball speed too dissimilar? 10 handicap, LH golfer, decent iron player but not sure a full set of 241’s up to 5i would be realistic.
Never saw any PGA or LPGA players move the head ahead before impact. This is origined from bottom up/ top down taken at backswing/downswing.
If you come to North Carolina let me know. I need these lessons.
The machine at my golf club must be faulty. I am rubbish and I hit 175 yards with a 7 iron.
Love this. Great video. Thank you👏🏾👍🏾✊🏾
Is it possible the simulator algorithm is using the same calc?
Various launch monitors report an average LPGA swing speed of 95mph. LPGA average drive is reported to be 270. Not sure how that comports with your data, are average LPGA fairways super fast? Or perhaps they just completely optimize in a way that you dont 100% simulate.
Im almost scared to use my 7 iron because I like to say "its made out of trampolinium" because ive cranked that thing 210 yards when i still struggle to get my 3 iron that far. Im awful at golf so that doesnt help but still.
My guy please do a video where you test a cheap driver head and an off market shaft combo and vice versa to determine if it’s solely the shaft makes a great driver or the head as well. Example: Ai smoke and stock shaft, Adam’s driver and ventus. And the other way around
Have to disagree with you on the first one. I think the machines number is pretty accurate. I hit the ball around that number myself. (Used to be way better before a significant backinjury). My carry are always around 195-205 meters/215-235 yards (Total distance between 215-235 meters/235-255 yards.)
Thanks Matt, very informative. This should help people when selecting clubs. Dave Peltz had a similar idea as he wrote in his book. Forget the number on the club, think of it as your distance club. My 9 iron is my 145 yard club, not a 9...and so on.
Are they worth the extra money?
What a honest review. Is there a preferred spin rate for a driver? Thank you
Are you using bladed iron or cavity backed
What I, also, would like to know is how you keep from early extending without swinging over the top. I have tried many drills but cannot correct that issue. Any ideas, or have you covered this previously?
How do the Mizuno 245s compare to the Wilson Dynapower forged? I like how the Mizuno’s look but the Wilson’s are much cheaper and seem to offer stellar performance.
I would like to know how you get your trail hip around that much.
you couldn't do 100*1.9 in your head?
Nice drill.
Great swing
I just got a 5-GW set of 245 and got them bent 2* weak. The lofts now match the 243 and are just 2* stronger than the 241. The looks and feel are unmatched compared to any other club that offers this much forgiveness. Even bent I ended up going with an extra wedge, T22 59*, T22 55*, T22 52*, and then MP-245 GW at 50*. Even though there is only 2 degrees difference between the GW and 52* the carry distance is 10-15 yards longer because of the hollow body vs forged.
I like Wilson shine. I have played the blades for a few years now. Just bought the new Staff blades. None better.
Who cares? As long as it’s repeatable and accurate.
You should hit your 7 iron about 10 yards longer vs your Iron 8 and about 10 yards shorter than your Iron 6.... that's it
I am a senior. 74 years old in 2024. I can hit it 90 to 110 yards. I am handicapped and only use my left arm. My Right arm has no Humorous. Non union.
Love your work Matt. Thanks!
My club head speed is 83 and i go about 170 with my 7 iron and its traditionally lofted too
good, now tell me how fast my club speed should be if my ball exit velocity is 140mph off the 7-iron
What software is that?
Like Seve said...."It's not how, it's how many." Get it in the hole however you can. 200 yard 7-irons are meaningless.
How much harder is this to hit off the ground compared to a 3 wood?
Are you going to review the cobra 3d printed iron.
Yes for sure
I want to go from the 108 guy to the 120 guy. I'm 48 yrs old and play off a +1 handicap. Any tips would be appreciated.
Im a +1.7 handicap. 109mph driver swing speed. 7 iron goes 167yrds average sea level no wind carry
Brother you are standing on the wrong side of the ball
If your not hitting minimum 200 with a 7iron, give up.
Im not seeing any difference between the pro v and Kirkland v3. Same distance, spin, flight as the pro v.
For me, anywhere between 120 and 185 yards.
I dont know if Matt will see this....but could you do a side by side test of 2 irons or equal loft with radically different tech???? I dont think enough amatuers realize that when its they claim "more distance" its usually a loft. Not all 7i are equal. But it would be nice to see how accurate equivalent lofts would be. Are we getting more consistency. Smash? Is the distance still being generated compared to a forged muscle cavity? Spin rates? This is one of those clubs alongside like JPX forged that have made me consider getting something that helps...i play FG Tour Forged from W/S and have considered switching but havent found a reason if the only difference is loft. Sets nowadays include a approach wedge. Which firmly legitimizes what goes around comes around. Seeing as PW from 70 years ago are about the same as todays approach wedges
Loved that. What kind of tension band/cord is that and where did you get it?
Not the best test playing off a mat.
170
Note the price in store is actually like $27.99 for 24 balls so it’s almost $1/ball
